Full House Rewire in Newport

The Brief

An older property in Newport had wiring that had reached the end of its life. The original installation dated back many years, the fuse board was outdated, and the homeowners were worried it was no longer safe for a modern household. They asked us to carry out a full rewire, bring everything up to current standards, and cause as little disruption as possible while they were living in the home.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Protected the home throughout: We covered floors and furniture, worked room by room to keep disruption down, and kept the property clean and safe while the work was under way.
• Made good as we went: Wiring was concealed neatly wherever possible and surfaces were made good, so the home was left tidy rather than torn about.
• Tested and certified: On completion, the whole installation was tested and the correct certification issued, confirming the home was safe and up to standard.

The Result

The property now has a safe, modern electrical installation built for the demands of a modern household. The new consumer unit gives individual circuit protection and guards the family against electric shock, and the whole home is certified to current standards.
